This barn project is unique in its use of two different styles of entrance doors, custom-made to fit two different uses of this barn. The back entrance is used as a business front. The door was designed as a custom split sliding door to provide plenty of space for machinery, equipment, and horses to come through. They were painted to match the style of the business, as well as to protect the doors from weathering, increasing their longevity. Large windows in the door not only allow for ample interior light, but they also allow people operating the machinery to see what is on the other side of the doors before safely opening them.
The front entrance is warm and inviting with the natural look of wood welcoming new and returning visitors. Eastern white pine beams hold up the protective overhang while inward swinging doors and arched frame and rails finished in Puritan Pine pull you inward. The large doorlights in both doors bring a light airiness into the building.
