FAQ

Explore the answers to some of our most common questions below.

Where Are You Located, and Can You Work on Out-Of-State Projects?

Vintage Millwork & Restoration is based in Paradise, Pennsylvania, in Lancaster County. And yes, our team does work on out-of-state projects. We offer nationwide shipping, enabling us to work on projects across the country. Contact our team with your vision, and we will create your custom millwork or door and ship it to you, even if you’re outside of Pennsylvania.

What Is Your Approach to Pricing and Project Scope?

Pricing is mainly affected by your project scope. Our custom doors start at $5,000, but the exact price depends on factors such as your preferred door type, level of design, and the hardware you choose.

For projects within our direct service area, our team will visit the site before creating a detailed quote that reflects the project scope. For our out-of-state clients, we will use your designs, pictures, and videos to produce a comprehensive project quote.

What Are Your Customization Options?

We offer both fully custom and semi-custom doors to match your project specifications. The Heritage Series doors are semi-customizable and available in both exterior and interior designs. They come in different sizes, styles, wood species, window types, and hardware, making it easier to tailor the door to your property.

Our fully custom doors are engineered for properties that need a unique aesthetic. With this offering, we help you build a door from scratch. You can choose from different styles and door types, then select from our collection of luxury hardware to complete the door.

Do You Offer Installation?

Yes, our team offers professional installation for clients within our regional service area only. Whether you are a custom homebuilder, a homeowner, or an architect, we work as an extension of your team, helping ensure that the door is correctly mounted for lasting functionality. For clients outside our local installation area, we can provide documentation and technical guidance for a seamless installation.

We remain available to offer ongoing support whenever you need it. Call our team within our business hours, and we will answer our phone or get back to you as quickly as possible.

Do You Offer Financing or Payment Plans?

No, we do not currently offer financing for our handcrafted doors or millwork.

What Is the Typical Timeline for a Custom Door Project?

Custom door projects usually take 12 weeks from approval. This estimate is an average based on custom door production timelines. The semi-customizable Heritage Series often has a faster turnaround time, making it suitable for projects with tighter timelines. For custom-made commercial doors, our team will coordinate our production timelines to align with your construction schedule.

Can You Work From My Existing Plans and Designs?

Yes. If you already have a design, our team can help you refine it to match your exact specifications. We work with different professionals to translate their designs into expertly crafted doors for builds they are proud to put their names behind.

Do You Offer Warranties?

Yes, our work is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty.

What Are Your Shipping and Delivery Options?

We handle both shipping and delivery. Whether we are delivering a door to a client in our regional service area or shipping millwork across the country, we meticulously package every shipment. From protective cushioning for hardware to custom-built wooden crates and waterproof plastic, we ensure your products arrive in great condition.

How Is Pricing Handled for Larger or Multi-Unit Projects?

We apply special pricing consideration for larger projects to help you save.

Do You Offer Services for Existing Doors?

It depends on the size of the project and the type of service required. We do not refinish or fix old doors. However, for larger projects, we do offer restoration services.

Can I Purchase Hardware Without Ordering a Door?

Yes, we sell hardware from leading industry brands such as Rocky Mountain and Ashley Norton. However, for panic hardware or emergency exit devices, we will refer you directly to the suppliers.
